Wow when did this happen, the months are just sneaking up on me. I know I ended my last post talking about how sad it makes me feel that time is flying....but I can't help but wonder am I getting it all in? Am I really enjoying every moment or do I take it for granted. When I look back and reflect on his little life I want to say that I spent as much quality time as I could with him.
Monday (8-8-11) was the first time that it was just David and me in almost a month and I thought I would be terribly lonely and sad but it was just the opposite. David was in such a wonderful mood ALL day long, which put me in a wonderful mood as well.
Tuesday was another boring duty day for David. These days kind of stink because he works all day and night and doesnt come home until the end of the following work day. I've learned that the key is to just stay busy so we do. Little David is really starting to enjoy reading books. We'll both lay down on a blanket and I'll hold the book up and when I read and turn the pages he starts moving his hands and kicking those feet and making the cutest sounds. My mom always took us to the library and I loved it, it always seems like a magical place. I want David to share the same love for books and reading as I did when I was small.
Wednesday we went over to our good friends Molli, Aiden (3 yr) and Ali's( 1 1/2yr) house for a couple of hours. It's always nice to get out and have a visit with friends. God has blessed us by having such great people in our lives while living away from our families. Aiden and Ali really seemed to enjoy little David. They are very good at taking turns holding him.
Thursday was a blast we got to go to the Aquarium for the first time. Little David loves an time you walk him around but when one of the new and curious creatures would catch his eye you could tell he was thinking whats this crazy looking thing! He really seemed to enjoy the jellyfish that glow a fun pink color! Thanks Yarn family for letting us tag along.
Friday was the 12th and the day that he offically becomes another month older. He was so awesome and took some really cute pictures. It's hard to snap the pictures before he drools all over himself and his sticker. If you look his pictures fom month to month you can slowly watch the hair on his head get thicker and thicker.
Saturday we had another first. We took our first trip to the Norfolk Zoo. Not only is that place huge but it is so awesome. David enjoyed the view while Daddy carried him in the bjourn and was happy as a lark even though he missed his morning nap!
